Today's Boulder Farmer's Market Report
If you don't care for the usual crush of people at the Farmer's Market, today's your day to get there, especially since the snow has stopped and the sun is starting to peek out. Not much news to report in terms of additions to the spring greens season at my favorite organic farm vendors. The disappointment was that I couldn't find green garlic at any of them, although the guy at the Isabelle Farm stand cheered me with news that garlic scapes (those wild, curly creatures) should be coming in shortly. Red Wagon Organic Farm has the most sumptuous display today, with scallion bunches piled high, and turnip greens, sorrel, and sunchokes, in addition to the usual suspects like spinach and arugula. There's also an arts and crafts fair going on next to the market, so there's plenty of shopping to be done.
