Food Day Coming Up Thursday

Food Day, created by the Center for Science in the Public Interest and partnering with all sorts of prominent chefs and organizations, "is a nationwide celebration and a movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food," and this year's celebration is this Thursday, the 24th.  You can enter your zip code on the events page on their website to see what's happening near you.  Looks like CU has quite a few, and I hear from our friends at Mile High on the Cheap that the Denver Botanic Gardens is going to be celebrating big time, with food sampling, classes and demos, plus admission to the gardens, all free.

Food Day Coming Up

This coming Wednesday, October 24th is Food Day, a national celebration in support of healthy, affordable, and sustainable foods.  Check out the national Food Day webpage to read all about it and to put in your location to search for local events.  I'm seeing lots of them, including doings at both the Pearl Street and Baseline Whole Foods stores (and maybe more - I put in a pretty small radius around me), and a Harvest Feast at CU.  And while you're contemplating good food, don't forget about our own fabulous local source, the Boulder Farmers' Market today from 8 to 2.

Food Day Coming Up

I didn't realize there's a day designated as "Food Day," intended to highlight healthy eating and accessible food. It's coming up this Monday, the 24th, and here's the word on it from Whole Foods, including info on a Facebook contest from Epicurious.
