Weekend Sales At Whole Foods

Our local Whole Foods stores will offer us a four-day sale starting tomorrow, to stretch across the long Labor Day weekend, plus a one-day sale for tomorrow only. For diehard fans of Hatch green chiles, they will be on sale by the case for tomorrow only, but the notice just says see store for details. (Personally I prefer mine already roasted by someone else.) For tomorrow through Labor Day, 32 ounce Honest lemonades will be a whopping two thirds off at $1 each, delicious one pound logs of Belgioioso fresh mozzarella will be $3 off at $6.99 each (pair that with some of the organic heirloom tomatoes that are part of the regular ongoing sale), and Siggi's yogurts will be $1 each, 59 cents off.

Four-Day Sale At Whole Foods

For this 4th of July weekend, Whole Foods is offering us an extended sale running from today through Sunday. Both bbq and fried chicken are $6.99 each for eight pieces, 30% off, and there's an unspecified fresh coconut water that's $3.99 each, $1 off (won't find me going anywhere near that one - can't stand coconut). And there's also this:

Four-Day Sale At Alfalfa's

Seems to be a new pattern for Alfalfa's doing a Thursday through Sunday special sale, but remember that if I don't mention a particular sale, it could still be happening and I either don't know about it or just don't have time to post. In any case, through this Sunday, the 20th, nine items are particularly showcased at Alfalfa's, including local Boulder Lamb bone-in leg of lamb at $9.99 a pound, organic spring mix very good at $3.99 a pound, organic Colorado red potatoes just 69 cents a pound, La Bonne Vie triple cream brie half off at $5.99 a pound, local Dragonfly Coffee's bulk coffee $8.99 a pound, and for spring color, a bunch of local daffodils for $4.99.

Another Four-Day Sale At Alfalfa's

It seems to be becoming a regular thing, although unfortunately I don't always have time to get online to mention it. Alfalfa's is doing another four-day sale from today through Sunday, so if you're in their west Boulder location, or just travelling there for the second of this season's Boulder Farmers' Markets on Saturaday, consider some of the deals to be had. Alfalfa's own housemade mac 'n cheese is $4.99 for 16 ounces, $3 off, and their housemade foods are really, really good in my limited experience. Amy's organic cheese pizzas are $3.99 each, half price, Bunny Luv organic baby carrots are stunningly low at $1.29 for a one pound bag, local (Boulder County) grassfed ground chuck is $4.49 a pound, $2 off, and Alfalfa's housemade cookie four-packs (100% non GMO) are $3.79 each, among other specials.

Another Special Alfalfa's Sale

Alfalfa's is doing another special four-day sale (I like how they use their hyphens correctly), this one from today through Sunday, the 30th. Of the twelve items listed, the ones that particularly strike me are organic roma tomatoes for just 99 cents a pound, rainbow trout sustainably farmed in Idaho for $5.99 a pound ($4 off), Canyon Bakehouse gluten-free breads $3.99 a loaf, and our local Eldorado spring water $5.99 for a case of 24 500 ml bottles, much classier to have on hand for a group than some national brand. There's also an amusing March Madness housemade sale, where if you buy any two of their meatballs, chicken wings, potato skins or jalapeno poppers, you get a free take 'n bake cheese pizza into the bargain. Also, organic green or Lacinato kale are $1.49 a bunch, but organic green curly kale is only 98 cents a bunch at Sprouts all the way through Wednesday.
