Alfalfa's Previews St. Paddy's Day

Alfalfa's is celebrating St. Patrick's Day early with Irish dancers, $1 Odell beer bangers, and free samples this weekend. The Louisville store will go at it tomorrow from 1 to 3 p.m., while the Boulder store will do Sunday, noon to 2. If Thanksgiving and Christmas were any indication, Alfalfa's does the finest holiday tastings in town. They will also start offering their house-brined corned beef starting Sunday (the 13th), and I'd bet its ingredient list will be as pure as Whole Foods. Will definitely look into it, since I'll be there for those $9.99 a pound grassfed ribeyes (and maybe a tasting or two).

The Alfalfa's stores in Boulder and Louisville will both be hosting chocolate tasting fairs today, but note they will be at different times. Louisville will hold its from 4 to 6 pm, and here's what they say about the Boulder store:

Alfalfa's Tasting Fair Tomorrow

The Alfalfa's store in Boulder will hold a holiday tasting fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow, the 12th. (Their Louisville store got its chance last weekend.) If it's anything like the one I enjoyed while doing Thanksgiving shopping, it will be fabulous.

Tomorrow, the 5th, the Alfalfa's store in Louisville will offer a holiday tasting fair from 4 to 6 p.m. If it's anything like the one I went to at the Boulder store for Thanksgiving, it will be fabulous. By the way, they also have wild caught king crab for $16.99 a pound through Sunday.

Another chance to get in the mood for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow the Boulder Alfalfa's will offer a tasting fair from 11 am  to 2 pm, offering samples from their Thanksgiving catering menu. Note that this is in the Boulder store only - the Louisville one got its chance last weekend. Combine this tasting fair with the Boulder Farmers' Market, only a block away.

Tasting Fair At Alfalfa's

Time to get in the mood for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow, the Alfalfa's store in Louisville will hold a tasting fair sampling dishes from their Thanksgiving catering menu from noon to 2 pm. Note that this is at the Louisville store only - stay tuned for one at the Boulder store next weekend. (P.S. I so rarely shop there, but Safeway is also doing a tasting Open House tomorrow 11 am to 6 pm.)

Alfalfa's Birthday Party Saturday

The Alfalfa's in Louisville will be throwing a birthday party this Saturday, the 27th, from 3 to 6 pm. They promise "tons of free samples, music, free face paint, free massage, $5 burgers."

Taco Throwdown In Progress

At the Whole Foods on Pearl Street until 6 pm today. I stumbled upon it while shopping, a huge four-sided exhibit with two or three choices on each side to sample, they you get to vote for your favorite. They used to put this stuff on their calendar on the web, but that hasn't happened in quite a while (calendar currently says no events scheduled this month). Events do sometimes make it to Facebook, but I'm not such a regular there.

Local Celebration At Louisville Alfalfa's

This Saturday, the 11th, the Alfalfa's in Louisville will celebrate all things local with a Lovin' the Local Fair from 4 to 6 pm. They say: "Come meet some of our favorite LOCAL vendors and learn their stories. These folks are passionate and devoted to creating amazing products that you will love to taste. FREE samples all throughout the store."

Lucky's Gluten Free Fair

According to its calendar, the Lucky's Market in Boulder will host a gluten free fair tomorrow, the 21st, from 3 to 6 pm. That also is double ad Wednesday, so a good day for shopping.

If you are scouting around for new ideas for your holiday table, the Lucky's Market in Boulder will be holding a Holiday Tasting Fair tomorrow, the 20th from 11 to 2.

Seasonal Fun At Lucky's

The Lucky's Market in Boulder will host a kid's holiday cookie decorating event today from 3 to 5 pm, and I'm pretty sure the Lucky's in Longmont is doing a holiday tasting from 1 to 3 today. Also, the Boulder Lucky's will be doing game day party prep tomorrow from noon to 3 as part of their "sampling Sundays."

Our Lucky's Market in Boulder will be doing a couple of tastings this weekend, with a Party Planning Tasting Affair tomorrow from 11 to 2, followed by Game Day Party Prep on Sunday from noon to 3. Evidently every Sunday is a Sampling Sunday at the Boulder Lucky's. Too bad I get to north Boulder so infrequently.

This Sunday, the 16th, the Lucky's Market in north Boulder will hold a gluten-free tasting fair from 4 to 6 pm.They invite you to stop in and sample some of their tastiest gluten-free options while meeting with local vendors.

Baseline Reopening Celebration Tomorrow

Happy Valentine's Day! As already mentioned, we'll be doing a heart-healthy salmon, mustard greens and potatoes with mustard-dill glaze tonight as a foil to the customary cholesterol-clogged Valentine's dinners that say to me you are trying to kill off your love instead. In any case, there's also the grand reopening celebration tomorrow from noon to 4 pm at the Whole Foods store at Baseline and Broadway, if you're looking for fun and treats. They're promising kid's events, giveaways, live music, mini-facials, and a taste fair. Good times all around.
