In Praise Of A Real Strawberry
The current issue of Saveur magazine has a wonderful article about how Jim Cochran made a success of growing organic strawberries because of their delicious taste and heady fragrance, far superior to cardboard conventional varieties. While his Swanton Berry Farm fruits are only available within driving radius of his California farm, we have our own option here at Cure Organic Farm, where I bought a pint of strawberries yesterday. (And no, while I sing Cure's praises frequently, I have no connection to them - I just love their food.) Sorry, you'll have to wait until Wednesday to get yours, as their farm store is only open Wednesdays through Sundays.
