Superior Supports My Favorites

Every year, Superior Liquor (in Superior, obviously) does a wonderful campaign in which you can donate your customer points to a great cause, which they then brilliantly leverage through additional corporate sponsorship. This year, customer club members have the splendid choice of donating to Community Food Share or the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, two of my favorite organizations ever. And thanks to the corporate support they've arranged, every $1 you give in accumulated points becomes $3 to the organization of your choice. You have until December 31st to donate, so consider doing it if you are a member!

Chip 'N Dale's Party Saturday

Superior Liquor, obviously in Superior, has long been a supporter of animals in general, and the Boulder Valley Humane Society in particular. This Saturday, the 22nd, they'll be hosting another of their adorably named Chip 'N Dale's parties, at which you can get your dog or cat micro-chipped and also enjoy Oskar Blues samples, known for their Dale's Pale Ale. The Humane Society will be micro-chipping for just $10 from 9 am to noon, while from 11 to 1, you can sample Dale's Pale Ale and Oskar Blues' bbq grilled beer can chicken for free. And the graphic Superior has for this event is superior in its own right, with a dog and cat flanking a can of Dale's Pale while sporting the Chippendales' iconic bow ties and white cuffs. Being animals, they don't have to wear the teeny skivvies the Chippendales strip down to.

Superior Supports Boulder Humane Society

Cruising along with a cool borrowed mifi after yesterday's lightning knocked out our modem and/or router. Might just stick with this and cut the Comcast cable!  Anyway, Superior Liquor (in Superior, obviously) has a long history of supporting the Boulder Valley Humane Society, and this year it seems they are starting their club points donation program even earlier than usual.  It's kind of like donating free money anyway, and once again they have lined up wonderful sponsors so that your donation actually triples!  Here's what they say:

Support Good Causes In Superior

Good heavens, how did it get to be December 1st already?  In any case, I'm so pleased to see that Superior Liquor (in Superior, obviously) is continuing its annual tradition of support for two of my favorite causes: the Humane Society of Boulder Valley and Community Food Share.  Members of their Frequent Customer club, of which there are many in Boulder, have the opportunity to donate their points to their cause of choice.  That alone would be cool enough, but even better is that Superior has lined up additional sponsors who will triple your gift!  Those points are really just like free money anyway, so why not use them for some excellent causes, and triple your gift in the process?

Chip 'N Dale's Party in Superior

Superior Liquor, obviously in Superior, has long been a supporter of our wonderful Boulder Humane Society.  Pairing with help from Oskar Blues, they've come up with an admirable event with a moniker that's unbelievably cute, happening at Superior Liquor on Friday, the 27th from 3:30 to 6:30.  Since it involves microchipping of pets and sampling of Dale's Pale Ale, the event has been dubbed the Chip 'N Dale's Party, and their ad features a dog and cat sporting white cuffs around their front paws and black bowties on their necks, a la Chippendales.  At least the dog and cat aren't accustomed to wearing anything more, unlike the guys who take it off in a Chippendales show.

What Superior says is:  "Bring your dog or cat to get micro 'chipped' and enjoy a sampling of Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale.  The folks from Oskar Blues will be cooking up burgers and brats while the Humane Society CHIPS your pet for only $10!  All Oskar Blue beers will be on sale!"

Imbibe To Benefit Humane Society

I love the multiple ways that Superior Liquor (in Superior, where else) supports our Boulder Valley Humane Society, and this coming Saturday, the 17th, will represent a high point, with a tasting and bottle signing for its benefit. They're also offering customers an opportunity to donate their "points" to the Society, which will be tripled via two matching donations, a wonderful program. Here's what they say:

As most of you already know, Superior Liquor is deeply committed to supporting the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. We stand in awe of their tireless effort to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. On Saturday, December 17th from 3-6pm, we will host an in-store tasting of the wines of Loyal Companion and Cru Vin Dogs, a local company that shares our commitment to the Humane Society. For every bottle of Loyal Companion wine sold, they donate 50 cents directly to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. They also support numerous other animal directed charities nationwide.

Jay Snellgrove, the artist who creates all the labels for Cru Vin Dogs and Loyal Companion, will be here from 3-5pm signing bottles. Can you think of a better gift for the animal lovers on your shopping list? The Humane Society of Boulder Valley will also be here with some adorable, loving animals who are looking for a new best friend.

Don't forget that you may donate your frequent customer points to the Humane Society (or to Community Food Share) and your donation will be matched TWICE, by our friends at Pernod Ricard and Beam, Inc.

Free Wine and Cheese Pairing

Noon update: I hear via @ladomestique, who tried to sign up for the event below, that it has been postponed, something regarding liquor license issues. Bummer!

Superior Liquor and the Whole Foods in Superior will be teaming up this Thursday to present a tasting of cheese and salmon burgers with wine pairings, but signup is required to get a free invitation. Here's what Superior Liquor says:

"Whole Foods Market Superior and Superior Liquor present a cheese and wine pairing event at Whole Foods from 6:30 until 8:00 on Thursday, May 26th

Join us for a sampling of fresh summer cheeses and an assortment of chef-prepared grilled salmon burgers, all expertly paired with wines provided by our friends at Veraison Wines. As a special treat, winemaker Alfonso Undurraga of Terrapura winery in Chile will be on hand pouring and talking about his wines! Entry to this event is free, but by invitation only.
