Fresh From The Fields This Week

So sad to think our final CSA pickup for the season from Red Wagon Organic Farm will be next week. I already can't wait until next year. Being on the wonderful biweekly pickup schedule, we won't be heading for this week's selections. If pie pumpkins are still in next week's list, looks like Red Wagon will throw down the challenge gauntlet one final time, since I don't bake desserts and haven't the slightest idea what else one would do with a pie pumpkin. Bet there's something good in a savory usage. Here's the news from Red Wagon:

CSA Week 21

You can use your pie pumpkin as a decoration until you’re ready to use it.

You can really see fall all around the farm, and we’re sharing the love with you.

Last week was the 12th and final week of fruit share.  So sad.
