Cheap Asparagus at Lucky's

Lucky's new sales weren't posted on their website yesterday morning when I looked, but I happened to be in their north Boulder neighborhood and picked up a sales flyer the old fashioned way. And lo! This week, Lucky's Market has fresh asparagus for $1.50 a pound. As we move out of our summer cornucopia of veggies towards a winter of hard squash, veggies like asparagus or artichokes popping up for cheap like this starts to become appealing. Lucky's also has organic spaghetti, acorn, or butternut squash for 99 cents a pound (matching Sunflower's price), and organic romaine lettuce for just 99 cents a head.
