Pacific Salmon "Dead Fish Swimming"?

Those of us who have long enjoyed eating wild salmon have watched fearfully as wild salmon has gained legions of enthusiastic fans, creating logjams at the fish counter as people claw their way to get their catch from the latest cult river during the fresh season. Now comes news of a possible leukemia-type virus that's further threatening the Pacific wild salmon population, in an article appearing in today's Daily Camera. The statement saying "the salmon industry is in a state of collapse" is especially disturbing. All the more reason to look for fish with a designation that it is certified sustainable, and to follow the recommendations of the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch.
