Boulder Farmers' Market This Afternoon

Since it looks like the storms that are possible for this afternoon are holding off, at least for now, it's a good time to get out to this afternoon's Boulder Farmer's Market, open until 8. The summer squash season is moving into full swing, and I'm interested in the black radishes that are new this week. At the end of the season side, pea shoots have mercifully disappeared from the market's list of expected produce. They are fabulously delicate in spring, but get to be tougher than a rabbit would eat at their fin de season. Snap peas are also unfortunately off the list. They also have a very short season, but I saw some from Full Circle Farm today at the Pearl Street Whole Foods, so grab them if you can. Whoops, just heard a bit of thunder, so maybe the storms won't hold off after all.
