New Deals At Alfalfa's

Yahoo, Alfalfa's has a new set of sales, running through August 2nd. (You can see the flyer in their photos section on Facebook.) Their produce department continues to impress me, both in breadth of organic selections (their flyer notes that "on an average day, our produce department is 97% organic") and price, a tough combo. Looking especially good from that department right now are organic peaches or nectarines at $1.99 a pound, and organic watermelon for 49 cents a pound. Orange juice fans, note that 59 ounce cartons of Organic Valley orange juice are BOGO at $5.79. In their deli, Diestal turkey pastrami looks very good at $8.99 a pound, real parmesan reggiano is also good at $14.99 a pound, and they have several varieties of Andrew and Everett bulk cheese for $6.99 a pound. While on the premises, I definitely grabbed a box of my fave Blue Diamond Nut-Thins for $1.99, and while I'm not much of a chip eater, their lineup of sales on chips from Boulder Canyon, Late July, Garden of Eatin', Lundberg, Frontera, and Terra Chips is impressive.
