With little to no time, here's a quick rundown. The good prices on ground turkey breast ($3.99 a pound) and chicken breast ($2.99) at Sprouts this week have me thinking about the Lao/Thai dish variously known as something like laap, larb, or larp. I've collected several recipes from recent magazines that don't make that association, so it's a hard thing to search, but they've all been delicious. The March issue of Cooking Light has yet another variation, spicy pork lettuce cups, and my experience has been that these recipes work well with all sorts of ground meats.
For Tuesday, we'll do a reprise of the roast chicken from Whole Foods ($1.99 a pound) that we're doing tonight, that I never had time to mention. With its ample roasted veggies on the side, there's nothing else to add.
For Wednesday, I'm thinking about the stew beef that Sprouts has for $3.99 a pound through that day (their recent sales on that have been annoyingly higher) for my variation on baked potatoes with spiced beef chili from Bon Appetit.
We'll catch some of the boneless center-cut pork loin chops that are $2.99 a pound at Sprouts through Wednesday in order to have them Thursday. It will be a simple saute, so there's not much else to say about that.
Which quickly (although not as quickly as I'd like) gets us through to Friday's planning.
