A Tad Annoyed With Zagat's
So this is a bit of a diversion from cooking in Boulder, but it is at least food-related. For several years, I've enjoyed rating restaurants through the Zagat survey system, particularly those we've tried in New York City, and it has always been fun to receive a complimentary copy of the corresponding new Zagat guide as a thank you. But with Zagat's recent acquisition by Google, Google is strong-arming the review process, requiring that it be done through a Google+ account, and submitted via Google Chrome, no less. So much for getting those free guides. The good side is that they're evidently making the Zagat content free online in the Google tradition, but I have to wonder about the breadth of reviews they'll receive, with those submission restrictions.
