Nice Day For The Boulder Farmers' Market, But Beware Road Construction

A nice day to head to downtown Boulder for today's Farmers' Market (8 to 2), if you have a bit of spare time.  They're still not publishing their weekly crop list as they used to on their website, but I can understand that's pretty time-consuming.  So go and discover for yourself what's newly popped out of the soil this week!

The day might be nice, but the newly started construction on Arapahoe won't be.  I haven't driven that stretch on the west side since it started, but it sounds like it won't be pretty all summer.  All the more reason to take your bike up the creek path, getting off just steps from the Farmers' Market!  Here's what the Market has to say about it:

Attention Boulder Customers

The Arapahoe Avenue Reconstruction project will cause significant impacts to traffic and parking for the Boulder Farmers' Market, including a full-time westbound lane closure. Arapahoe Avenue has been reduced to one eastbound lane of traffic between Folsom and 15th streets, with the westbound lane closure in place through mid-August 2013. Westbound traffic and both directions of the JUMP bus will be detoured onto Canyon Boulevard. Part of the Boulder High School parking lot will be used a staging area for construction vehicles and equipment. While we encourage our customers to walk, bike, bus, hop, skip, jump down to the market we want you to note that the parking lots on 14th Street will still be available to BCFM customers (please access from Canyon).

Feel free to contact us with any questions. Thank You!
