Specials of particular interest to me include the lowest price I've ever seen for organic russet potatoes (and they're from Colorado too!) at $1.69 for a five pound bag. Also looking good are pounds of Horizon organic butter for $3.99, my favorite Lundberg gourmet rice blends at $2.49 for one pound packages, and Nut-Thins at $1.99 a box (plus Mambo Sprouts has a 50 cents off two coupon for them). Several delicious, cholesterol-heavy Organic Valley products like heavy whipping cream and eggnog are at good prices for your holiday indulgences, which you can attempt to counter by cooking with cholesterol-free Earth Balance buttery spreads, on sale for $3.49 each. Finally, with all the news around about peanut butter prices tripling this week because of the drought in the southeast, you might want to stock up on my fave MaraNatha no stir peanut butters, on sale at $3.49 for the organic (their almond butter is on sale, too).
