We have new sales starting today at our Boulder Sprouts and Sunflower, while the current sale at Whole Foods continues through the 26th (click for prior report). Here's what's looking good to me now.
If last week was the time to eat ribeyes, this week it looks like it's chicken, with large packages of all sorts of cuts 40% off at both Sprouts and Sunflower through June 27th.
At Sprouts through the 27th, I'm also liking carne asada, pollo asado, and Italian chicken sausage all at $2.99 a pound, and center-cut boneless pork chops or beef stew meat both $3.99 a pound. Fresh Copper River sockeye salmon is $9.99 a pound, and the piece I got there last week was quite good. In organic produce, one pound bags of baby carrots are great at $1.25 each, red or green leaf lettuce are $1.29 a head, acorn or butternut squash are $1.29 a pound, and one pound clamshells of organic strawberries are just $2.99. Organic red or green grapes are $2.50 a pound, but cheaper at Sunflower. Also, Sprouts' own label of vitamins and supplements is 20% off.
At Sunflower through the 27th, in addition to the chicken sale above, boneless pork loin chops are $3.99 a pound (matching Sprouts), chicken stir fry and ground chicken breast are both $3.99 a pound, and beef stir fry is $4.99 a pound, but if you prefer it cut as stew meat, it's $1 cheaper at Sprouts. In organic produce, I'm liking yams for 99 cents a pound, red or yellow grape tomatoes at $2.50 a pint, green onions 50 cents a bunch, and red or green grapes for just $1.99 a pound, the lowest we've seen this year. Mozzarella Fresca eight ounce fresh mozz cups are $3.50, and assorted Kerrygold seven ounce Irish cheeses are $4.99 each.
