If you're not sure your carving knife is up to getting through that turkey or roast, MHOTC is reporting that Sur La Table will sharpen one knife for free through Monday, subsequent knives a good price at $5 each. There's a Sur La Table in the 29th Street mall. Here are the details from MHOTC:
With Christmas and all that food prep coming up, a sharp knife is a cook’s best friend. Bring your neediest knife to any Sur La Table store by December 24, and they’ll sharpen the first one for FREE and subsequent ones for $5 while you shop. No scissors, ceramic knives or damaged knives, please. There are three Front Range Sur la Table retail stores: 121 Clayton Ln. (Cherry Creek North), Denver, 303-780-7800; 1850-29th Street, Boulder, 303-952-7080, and 343 S. Teller St. (Belmar), Lakewood, 303-936-4677.
