Fresh Wild Salmon Price Wars

This is the season for salmon lovers. Safeway today is continuing to advertise fresh Copper River for $9.99 a pound (with card). Sprouts, which had Copper River for $12.99 a pound through today, is now switching to unspecified wild Alaskan sockeye salmon fillets for $9.99 a pound through next Wednesday. (That's the usual progression, Copper River first, then on to others.) Last time I checked, which was only a couple of days ago, Copper was still $24.99 a pound at Whole Foods.
