Postal Service Food Drive Saturday

Long time readers (thank you!) know that I am a big fan of efforts to collect food for those less fortunate, and one that I suspect gets somewhat overlooked is coming up this Saturday. Once a year, our letter carriers (Postal Service term, not mine) are on the lookout for a bag of non-perishable food items placed by your mailbox, and this year's collection is this Saturday, the 9th. They ask for no glass containers and no expired items. The challenge will probably be the expectation of rain, meaning items would probably be best put in those plastic bags that nobody uses anymore. Boulderites are creative and will figure out a solution.
