Our local Whole Foods stores will offer us a one-day sale for tomorrow only (the 29th) on something appropriate for upcoming Labor Day outdoor celebrations, namely watermelon. Since organic isn't specified, I'd assume it's conventional, and Sprouts and Sunflower have whole seedless watermelon at 3 pounds for $1 through tomorrow, so do your math. (Wednesday update - that price at Sprouts/Sunflower continues through September 5th.) Savor some more summer as we mark its unofficial end. Here's what Whole Foods says:
