Another super-quick rundown. For tomorrow, Sprouts' $2.99 a pound sale on chicken sausage is reminding me of a favorite, sausages and polenta. I just do mine using onion, green bell pepper, and good jarred pasta sauce for the sausages, but if you insist on a recipe, mushroom and sausage ragu with polenta from Cooking Light is a good one.
For Tuesday, our reheat of something big made over the weekend will be tonight's New Mexican chile verde from Cooking Light.
For Wednesday, with ground turkey breast $3.99 a pound at Sprouts through that day, we'll do spicy turkey burgers from Bon Appetit.
We'll want something Asian-influenced and also rice-based by Thursday, and the sale at Sprouts through Wednesday is screaming stir-fried beef, broccoli, and yams from Bon Appetit, served over brown rice. Through Wednesday, Sprouts has beef stew meat for $3.99 a pound, organic broccoli $1.49 a pound, and organic yams just 99 cents a pound.
Which quickly gets us through to Friday. Unrelated, but don't forget that today is the last day of this year's fall Open Studios art tour, where artists of all sorts of media (mediums?) open their studios to visitors throughout Boulder.
