Alfalfa's is planning a "Wonderfall Tasting Fair" to celebrate fall this Saturday, from 11 to 3. Stroll on over after stowing all your purchases from the Saturday Farmers' Market, just a block away. Here's what they say:

Celebrate the beauty and bounty of Fall with us. We’ll be giving out free tastes of homemade Amish Apple sausage, fried apple pie (yes, that’s right, fried apple pie!), maple syrup’d salmon, steamed apple ginger cider – and so much more of everything wonderfall. We’ll even be giving away our secret homemade Fall recipes, mini pumpkins and we’ll have some live music to set the mood.
And if you’re still hungry after all those tasty bites of goodness, we’ll be serving a $5 bowl of Beef and Bean Red Chili over our homemade cornbread. $2 of the proceeds will benefit Community Food Share.
